Celeb Street Fashion

Although I love a picture of a celebrity looking terrible as much as the next girl (it can be a bit refreshing, no?), I also love to see them looking normal yet put together when they are out and about on the town!

Below are a few recent finds from Popsugar, with celebs looking dapper!

Product Review: Leonor Greyl's Huile de Palme

I have to begin this review with saying I have never believed in pre-shampoo treatments, nor had I had lasting results with any that I have ever tried before. Sure they make your hair soft and shiney right after you shampoo it out, but what about 3 days/shampoos later when you are back to looking like a hot mess? Needless to say I had read all about Leonor Greyl's Huile de Palm many times before, and knew that it was a cult favorite- but I had personally never tried it, thinking that it wouldn't be any different than other pre-shampoo treatments I have tried. I am an idiot.

Not only did this treatment make my hair the healthiest I have literally ever felt it immediately after I washed and dried it, it has continued to stay in that same amazing condition nearly 4 shampoos later. I know it seems impossible, but my split ends were nowhere to be seen or felt, and all of the color and heat damage I inflict on my hair daily seemed to have never happen. My hair feels like it belonged to a child, which in my mind is the epitomy of healthy hair. This is a product I am already addicted to and cannot wait to use again this weekend. And it is super easy to use. Simply put a small amount in your hands, work through dry hair and comb through to make sure it is distributed evenly, and leave on for at least 15 minutes (I left it on for 30 and will definitly do that again), and shampoo out. BAM! Perfection!

Top 5 Recent Drugstore Finds!

Although I can spend a pretty penny at the nicest of stores with the best of them, I really love finding products are a drugstore that are both super cheap and work really well! I know I really like a product when I start using it everyday, or am upset if i have forgotten it in my gym bag. These are 5 of those products:

1. John Frieda's Frizz-Ease with Thermal Protection gives the perfect amount of glossy goodness to help come out those knots, as well enough oomph to leave hair shiny and smooth after you have finished your heat styling.

2. Neutrogena's Mineral Sheer Powder is the perfect touch up powder that erases extra shine and oil, while not leaving you looking all cakey and covered in powder.
3. Maybelline's Volum'Express One by One Mascara actually seperates your lashes and coats each one individually, so that your lashes look perfectly even. A few swipes of this and you are set!

4. Bonne Bell Lim Smacker Gloss in Dr. Pepper is the best tasting and smelling balm ever. It is super cheap and does the job well, and leaves your lips with a light tint. Perfection!

5. Almay's Clear Complexion Concealor has a very light feel, but dense consistency that covers any pimples or imperfections completely. It also has a tiny bit of salicylic acid to help heal zits while covering, but not too much to make you peel.

I hope these finds are helpful to you in your efforts to buy quality products on a baby budget!

Just a Touch of Color

Although I love the look of  a clean and simple all white room, I also adore pops of color, and I love them even more in unexpected places :) My apartment is actually pretty colorful, with a black, white, grey theme and pops of red and yellow (ok, fine! my bathroom is white, yellow, pink and green... but I had to put the pink and green somewhere!)

Murder on the Boulevard by Kori Donahue

I am sure many of you know Kori from Blonde Episodes, as she hosts the awesome Fashion Friday every Friday that so many of us get to participate in! Well, she is also an author and recently released her first novel Murder on the Boulevard. I have a Nook so I was waiting until it came to Barnes and Noble, and once it did, I snatched it up! It is also available at Amazon.com!

And let me tell you, I am so glad I did! I won't tell you any of the story so that you can experience it all for yourself, but it is such a fun read with a great story, awesome characters and is set in old Hollywood!

Fashion Fridays: Equestrian Inspiration

There is something about the classic equestrian look that I have always adored. Maybe it is that its an activity I simply don't participate in, but wish I did so I could wear the clothes constantly? Who knows. But either way, I think the looks are so clean and perfect, for either the sport or for chic day wear. Please remember to check our Kori's clog, Blonde Episodes, to check out the other blogs participating in this week's Fashion Friday!!
